Through traditional music, Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki relays some of the adventures, misadventures, and emotions experienced by Irish emigrants. Tirrell-Wysocki discusses the historical context of these songs, interspersing their stories with tunes from Ireland that made their way into New England’s musical repertoire, played on his fiddle or guitar. A few Irish Step Dancers from Murray Academy will be on hand to perform to the music. This program is co-hosted by the Exeter Public Library, sponsored by the New Hampshire Humanities and is free and open to the public.
Refreshments will be served at 6:30 pm.
